~The Love of My Life~

Today is going to be all about Warren...my husband and the love of my life! I want to start with how we met and where it all began! I'll also include some of my favorite pictures of us from the past 4 years! As the days go on, I'll be blogging about special days/events individually, but this post is mainly to introduce you to Warren and our relationship! One reason I am doing this is to document events in our life better (it's really the overall purpose of the blog)...but it is a lot of fun reminiscing at some of the important things we did and celebrated together as a couple! It will all lead up to where we are now!

Warren and I met on April 23, 2010. What a day that was! Our story is simple. I had gone out to Millhouse (a restaurant in Statesboro where I was a regular) with a friend of mine to hear a band that I really liked! My friend and I were up front my the band all night, and rarely moved. Towards the end of the night, I headed to the bathroom. On my way back to the crowd, this cute guy stopped me and said, "Your pearls are so classy. I rarely see women wear pearls anymore." I thought, "Wow buddy, what a line." Little did I know that the pearls I wear every day, and have worn every day for the past 10 years (they are in this picture and I have them on now) would lead to me meeting the man of my dreams. Well, I definitely didn't think he was the man of my dreams at this point. I honestly just thought he was some college student hitting on me, and honestly, I wasn't interested. I just wanted to have fun with my friend. I just told him to keep it moving. I'M TERRIBLE!!! Anyway, at the very end of the night, I was closing out my tab, and he walked over to me again and wrote directions to his house on the back of my receipt and told me that they were having an after-party. Well, I had already graduated a couple of years before, so I definitely wasn't interested in partying with college kids. (Little did I know he was actually one month older than me). I just politely told him no, and moved on. My friend and I left and went to eat at Waffle House, and she encouraged me to call him. She said he was super cute and super interested in me, and I was rather rude to him. I did sorta feel bad, so I saw his number on the receipt and gave him a call. We decided to talk the next day. I totally assumed he wasn't going to call, but HE DID! Honestly, the rest is history. We talked on the phone for a few days, and had our first date at El Sombrero the following Friday night, and then another date the following weekend in Savannah (our favorite place and ultimately where we ended up moving). Funny how things work out! Here is a picture of our first Savannah date!

I really am a lucky girl! The past 4 years have flown by! It's so much fun to look back on our earlier dates and celebrations! We've done alot together! We've been through ups and downs, and only came out stronger! I love Warren with all of my heart and am so blessed that he picked ME! I also have to be grateful for my pearls that I wear every day of my life...because ultimately, it all started with them! We love doing things as a couple. Going out on our boat, spending time with our dog Elle'. I can't wait to share other stories of our life together, but for now, I'll just share some more pictures!
