My dear brother...so
many things that I could say! We've always been close and of course have had
our ups and downs throughout the years, but I couldn't ask for a better brother
and I love him dearly! I've talked in my previous blogs about my family doing
so many things together. Mark and I were really blessed with wonderful parents
and grandparents who supported us. We all enjoyed spending time together. Family
vacations...Friday night trips to the movies...shopping trips...sports, so many
things that we all did together! Growing up, Mark would always follow me around
wanting to play "dog." Haha. He would basically follow me around and
pretend to be my pet. It was so cute and funny, although I probably found it
quite aggravating at the time. I have so many stories about the two of us
playing together, trying to stay out of trouble. Sometimes it
worked...sometimes it didn't. Here are a few pictures of our younger days!
Aren't we cute! Gotta
love those matching outfits! We both went to Edmund Burke Academy, and once I
graduated from there and went on to college, Mark began 9th grade at Bulloch
Academy in Statesboro. He was and still is a super smart student and was an
outstanding basketball player! However, he was the BEST golfer! He started
learning and playing golf at a very young age with my dad, and then began
lessons. He started playing in tournaments and got quite talented. He was on
the Junior PGA golf tour and even made it to the Championship in Ohio! In one
tournament in Swainsboro, Georgia, he hit a hole in one and won a FREE DODGE
CHARGER!! Yea...he's pretty awesome! He graduated from Bulloch Academy and went
onto to play on the golf team at Armstrong Atlantic State University, where he
stayed for a couple of years. After deciding that he wanted to move on, he
transferred to Georgia Southern University, became a member of Kappa Sigma
fraternity, and graduated this past December with a degree in Finance! I
couldn't be more proud of him! He is really special to me, and I am so proud of
the young man he has become! I know he will be the best uncle that anyone could
have!
