~My Beautiful Mom~

Isn't my mom pretty? I just love her. I could go on and on and on and on about her. To tell you a little bit about her. Her name is Judy Turner Rocker, and she is the daughter of Juel Turner and the late Mark Turner, of Four Points, a little community outside of Millen. She graduated from Jenkins County High School, and also graduated from Georgia Southern with a degree in Criminal Justice and Education. She met my dad at the bank that he worked, and the rest is history. They married in December of 1985, and I was born in December of 1986! Before she got pregnant with me, she taught some college classes at Southern, but then became a Probation Officer for the State of Georgia, which she did until her retirement 2 years ago! For a long time, she has dreamed of turning our home into a wedding venue. She has successfully completed that dream, and my wedding in May of 2012 was her first gig! My parents are the proud owners of Quinney Oaks Plantation (more to come on this later). She loves spending time with her family, going to the movies, eating sushi with my dad on their date nights to Augusta, and of course, working and spending time outside!

My mom has been such an important influence in my life. She has always taught me to do right over wrong and to keep God first! Through ups and downs, we have always remained close, and it's definitely hard to make any decision without talking to her first. She's definitely my go-to every single day. She has always supported me in my endeavors and has pushed me to always do my best and to treat others with respect. She has great taste, and I owe my beautiful wedding to her. (I'm sure she had been dreaming of that since the day I was born).

I owe so much to her! I can't wait for her to become a grandmother in August so she can help teach my daughter all of the things she taught me! I just hope I can be the mom to Bowdre that my mom has always been to me! Mighty big shoes to fill!

There are so many things that I have learned from her, but one of the most important is about love and marriage. My parents have such a wonderful relationship, and I got to grow up in a house filled with love! They enjoy spending time together and time with us! What more could you ask for?

My mom is the best mother in the world and she is certainly going to be a first-class, stylish and super fun and awesome grandmother! (She isn't sure what she wants to be called yet)! I am so blessed to have her as my mom!
