~And Then There Was Elle'~

Have you ever seen anything so cute? We got our sweet Elle' in the summer of 2010, just months after Warren and I met. His cousin knew of a lady that was trying to find a good home for her, and we took her up on it! I remember talking to Warren about getting a dog, and he through that Christmas of that year would be a good idea, so I temporarily put the idea on hold. BUT THEN...I saw the facebook post about this precious dog being in need of a home. I remember the day like it was yesterday. I was at work, saw the picture, and immediately called Warren to come to my office. I was almost in tears because I wanted this dog so bad. Warren immediately made a call to his cousin and said we would come that weekend to pick her up! Honestly, the rest is history! That weekend we took off to Augusta to pick up our precious dog, and our lives have never been the same!

Her name was Mary, and she had been in a not-so-good home! We decided to change her name to Elle' because it was something new! She loves it and took to it immediately (prob because it kinda sounds like Mary, but who can tell). Over the past 4 years, Elle' has seriously become like a child to us and is a very important piece to our family puzzle! It took her no time to get adjusted to life with us!

We take her everywhere with us! She really enjoys boat rides and playing catch! She also loves the water, as long as you don't push her in!

I think though...what she loves most of all in this whole world...is Warren! I know that she loves me and all, but I think she really really loves Warren! The look on her face everyday when he gets home from work is unbelievable! She loves spending time with him doing whatever: riding in the boat, being in the water, or just sitting outside with him while he does yard work. It's a crazy bond that these two have!

She does love me too! Alot! Alot! Just maybe not quite as much as Warren...but maybe!

Here are a few more pictures of our sweet girl! I can't believe she will be 7 years old in August! Right now, I know she's getting ready for some summer boat rides and fishing trips with Warren, but what occupies her time these days is squirrel watching and chasing! I'm pretty sure she does it ALL DAY LONG! Those poor squirrels!

We love you sweet Elle' and are so glad you came into our life! It sure wouldn't be the same without you! You definitely make each day complete with so much love and joy!
