~Out St. Lucian Honeymoon~

Our honeymoon was absolutely amazing! We traveled to St. Lucia to the Sandals Halcyon Resort! St. Lucia is beautiful and we had an amazing time. But before I get into the details of our trip, I want to take you from start to finish on our amazing once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon!

After our wedding, our limo took us to the Westin hotel in downtown Savannah to stay our first night as a married couple! It was wonderful and had such great views of Savannah!

On Sunday afternoon, we headed to Jacksonville for the night, since our flight was leaving from there! We stayed at the Crowne Plaza right next to the airport and had yummy Japanese for dinner! It was fun! Before we knew it, it was early the next morning and it was time to take the bus to the airport! We were St. Lucia bound!

We arrived!!!

Once we got to the airport and got through Customs, we had a private car ride to our resort! I'm so happy we got the private car instead of taking the bus! We got much better views of the island, a private tour guide, and a chance to stop and take some pictures along the way! It was totally worth it!

Once we arrived at the resort, they were waiting on us with cool towels and champagne! I knew this was going to be a magical place...and it was! They showed us around the resort and our awesome accommodations! We were staying in gorgeous ocean-view walk-out room! It was amazing!

Here are a couple of views from around the resort!

We had so much fun doing many things! The first of which...eating! Each morning, we would get up and go down to this hut to have the most amazing breakfast! I mean who can complain about fresh omelets every day? Not me!

We also enjoyed getting lunch right next to the beach! They had hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, and of course, yummy fruity drinks!

Speaking of the beach, we loved lounging on the gorgeous beaches of St. Lucia! The water was a beautiful blue!

The resort also had water sports! Warren and I tried kayaking (not for us), sailing (it was fun until we went too far and they had to come get us), and skiing! Here is a picture of Warren skiing!

And of course we enjoyed spending time at the pool!

Each night was always filled with something fun! One night, they had a special romantic dinner for all the newlyweds! It was decorated so pretty and was so much fun!

They had wonderful restaurants/food at the resort, as you can tell from my breakfast picture! St. Lucia has 3 Sandals resorts, and you can travel to each resort throughout the day and night to eat at the different restaurants and just to get a change of scenery! One night, we traveled to the Grand St. Lucian resort and ate at this delicious Japanese restaurant!

We also ate at this fabolous Italian restaurant at our resort and a great authentic French restaurant at the La Toc Resort! Seriously, the food was one of my favorite parts! One night, we decided to do the private romantic honeymoon dinner for two! I'm so glad we did this! It was a four-course meal under a pavilion that was set up just for us! They certainly wined and dined us, and it was so great to reflect in the middle of a super fun week about why we were really there and how much we truly loved each other! And it was nice to get super dressed up too!

We also did some really fun things like Zip-Lining! It was so fun and was a major adrenaline rush! I was so proud of myself for doing this! We looked like pros...well maybe Warren did, but either way it was fun! And of course, the scenery was beautiful! What better way of seeing the rain-forest than zip-lining through it!

On the way back to the resort, our guide gave us some really neat information about St. Lucia! We got some great pictures!

He also showed us where the opening scene from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie was filmed! In the boot!!!

After zip-lining, we decided to take it a little easier and go snorkeling the next day! It was a great trip! We got to take a boat-ride around the island and got saw some more beautiful parts of the island! Snorkeling was fun too, especially since the water is so clear and blue!

We also took a boat ride to watch the sun go down! They say the sun setting in St. Lucia is one of the most beautiful sights, and I can tell you, that is so true! It is truly magical!

On our last night, we decided to eat at The Pier House, which is the seafood restaurant at our resort! I'm so glad we saved the best for last! It was delicious and a great way to end an amazing 9 days!

Our trip to St. Lucia was an amazing trip, and was the perfect place to spend our honeymoon! We are so blessed to have had the chance to take this trip, and we will always remember it! Hopefully, we can make it back there really soon! Until then, the pictures will have to do!
